IBM Q Experience integrates the workflow of quantum researchers with IBM Q Network (client) capabilities in one place, joining the power of quantum research with admin responsibilities (user and device management).

The platform was designed and developed in four months by 3 designers and 4 engineers. I pioneered a new workflow with our development team in order to co-create with them while prioritizing user needs and driving design consistency across the tool.

Solution

I led the visual design of the integration, using IBM's new Design Language to drive consistency and streamline the user experience across tools.

Worked in tandem with 2 UX designers to develop user flows, architect a navigation system that could support researchers' workflows, and enhance the IBM Q Composer (IBM's first iteration of quantum on the cloud) with robust functionality.
